Repetitive Pattern Drawing As A Visual Meditation

Maryly teaches Introduction to the Zentangle Method™ to small groups of 2-6 people in her West Oakland Studio.

The class lasts 2-3 hours. The $50 cost per person includes supplies. Family and Friends’ rate is $40.

The class covers the origins and ideas behind the popular calming and happy-making Tangle patterns, based on the original Zentangle Method™. The class requires no artistic experience, no special creative skills, yet you will leave feeling focused and more creative than you expected, along with two of your own Zentangle creations.

Maryly is a Certified Zentangle® Teacher, a CZT, completing her certification training at the 21st Seminar in Providence, RI in 2015.

For more information, please see Zentangle.com along with Maryly’s Certified Zentangle Teacher profile. That’s in addition to viewing the small 3.5 x 3.5 in. Zentangled paper tiles you see reproduced on this page. Repetitive pattern drawing has taken off in a big way. There are many books and patterns on the Internet. You can even find so-called paper “artist tiles” by Strathmore at Michael’s. But those aren’t the original Zentangle tiles. Today there are more than a thousand (!) named patterns on the internet, collected at www.tanglepatterns.com, even though the original creators of repetitive pattern drawing (Maria Thomas, Rick Roberts, and family) have created and named more than 150 tangle patterns (as of July 2016). Maryly is teaching the original trademarked and registered Zentengle Method™.

To schedule a Zentangle class with Maryly at Snow Studios in West Oakland or at your own house in the San Francisco Bay Area, find one, two or more friends who would also like to learn Zentangles. Then email Maryly at snowstudios.com
